Practically insoluble in water soluble in ethanol, and methanol. Slightly soluble in hexane.

Application & Dosage Triclosan is widely used in personal care products such as soaps, hand sanitizers, toothpaste, deodorants, and body and various household products such as textiles, plastics, and polymers. Used as pesticide and antimicrobial agents in crop protection products. In personal care, the dose of concentrations ranges from 0.1% to 0.3%. In Medical products: Concentrations can range from 0.1% to 3% or higher in some cases. In household products, triclosan concentrations are typically lower, ranging from 0.1% to 0.5%

Stability & Storage Triclosan is to be stored in tightly sealed containers to prevent exposure to air and moisture, which can lead to degradation. at room temperature, typically between 15°C to 25°C. Triclosan is relatively stable to light, but prolonged exposure to direct sunlight or UV radiation can lead to degradation.
