Econea

Kopconea

Kopconea or 4-bromo-2-(4-chlorophenyl)-5-(trifluoromethyl)-1H-pyrrole-3-carbonitrile, is a new type of environmentally friendly anti-fouling compound used in the immersed coatings of commercial sea-going vessels. Kopconea is fit for use in different types of antifouling paint including traditional rosin-based Controlled Depletion Polymer (CDP) paint types, as well as Self-Polishing Copolymer (SPC) systems. It takes less Econea to prevent biofouling, compared to copper-based paints. Antifouling paints made with just 6% Econea are as effective as antifouling paints that contain 50% copper.

Application & Dosage Capryl hydroxamic Acid [CHA] is a bactericide and ample spectrum anti-fungal agent. Capryl hydroxamic Acid is a preservative and broad-spectrum anti-fungal agent. CHA, unlike many other more common preservatives, is very effective at neutral pH levels. It is also a chelating agent of iron ions; low-iron environments show lower levels of mold growth. Capryl hydroxamic Acid is reported to be used in 227 formulations at maximum leave-on and rinse-off concentrations of 0.25% and 0.3%, respectively.

Stability & Storage Light stable, stable in pH range of 4 to 8
